Your shirt and tie must complement each other. If your shirt has vibrant color or print,
then be sure that the tie you choose is calm and discreet. On the other hand,
if your shirt is plain, you can wear a much more decorative tie, that may have bolder colour
or a pattern. Be sure that one of the colours in your tie, matches the color of your shirt
and it should all pull together.
If you are wearing a tie for a formal occasion, such as a job interview or a funeral,
remember to keep the look conservative. Muted colours and patterns work best. However
if you are attending a gala event, or wedding, let your own personality shine through with
a more flamboyant look. |
