Title:Choosing the right tie for the right occasion Author:
The Tie Shop Date: January 2005
A classic suit has always been the office workers uniform yet the one suit can achieve many alternative looks with the addition of a silk tie.
For the high powered meetings a lightly patterned or plain silk tie is favourite whilst for the social meeting in the pub would benefit the wearing of a bright or novelty tie.
For weddings it is customary for the grooms tie and those of the best man and ushers to compliment the overall colour scheme of the wedding.
Today's choice in colours ensures that even the most unusual colours can have complementing silk ties. Whilst the emphasis is normally placed on the brides dress and that of her bridesmaids the groom also needs to feel 'tied' into the occasion and the wearing of a classic silk tie provides this opportunity.
Fashion trends change almost daily but one style that hasn't is the wearing of shirt and tie for going out. For more formal occasions a suit is worn with a stylish classic tie but for the casual look then trousers, shirt and tie is deemed appropriate.
For socialising then you can allow your style to be free and wear a fun or colourful tie enhanced by a coloured shirt or set of with a white shirt.
